Basilio wasn't a horse we originally intended to keep. The first foal of our Andalusian pair, Hipparchos and Estrella De Luz, Basilio was a lovely and well-formed foal, but it was our plan to sell him as a yearling. However, as the other babies up for sale sold like hotcakes, nobody seemed to show any interest in Basilio. We figured we'd hang onto him another year and try putting him up for sale as a two-year-old. During that year Basilio's personality developed, and the entire staff fell in love with him. With his playful demeanor and impeccable manners, Basilio wins over everyone who has the priviledge of meeting him. He's also proving himself to be a stellar performer, taking home three championships from the RYHA as a two-year-old. And with his incredible, floating gaits, we can't wait to start him under saddle!
